Service Description:
Thank you for considering my bid. I am a recent college graduate of Johns Hopkins University. While at school, my concentration was in writing. I have written poems, short stories, English papers, and have yet to embark on novel writing. While spending my time studying there, I landed two summer writing internships. One internship was doing research to write grants for 'Create Now!', a non-profit organization located in Los Angeles, CA that supports changing the lives of high-risk and at-risk youth through creative arts. The second internship introduced me to the freelance writing world. I specialized in writing celebrity plastic surgery news articles for Make Me Heal, a company in the cosmetic surgery and anti-aging care products industry located in Van Nuys, CA. To date, I have written 30-40 news articles. I was paid $10 an hour to help develop plasticopedia, an online encyclopedia of over 200 entries featuring celebrities who have undergone plastic surgery.
My supervisors have commented that I am a "really great writer," I "work at the speed of lightening," and I am "diligent." I am always open to trying new types of writing and strictly sticking to deadlines. Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you if I am selected.
