First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I am Joyce Edward working part-time with a Transcription Company in India providing services to one of the UK’s largest Law Firm. I was appointed as a Transcriber, but after looking at my work and the level of efforts that I have put in my work, I got promoted as a Quality Control Executive. Apart from my job, I am heading a team of three people providing transcription services. This basically includes transcription of Court proceedings, attendance notes, letters, Bill of Costs, Witness Statement, Skeleton Argument, Brief to Council, Deposition Summary, interviews, pre-hearing conferences, telephone conversations, etc. pertaining to child care, community care, crime, employment, family, housing, immigration, property, conveyancing, welfare benefits and litigation matters. I am also providing services in business transcription and general transcription fields also for both US and UK clients.
