Service Description:
I've worked in the IT industry since 1995 and worked with computers in the Army prior to that. I've worked as a PC Tech, System Admin and developed windows applications, web sites, and have designed and administered databases. I've worked for software companies, Market Research and Real Estate. I enjoy using technology to solve problems and money has never been a motivating factor to work in this industry. It's just plain fun.

Resources that I have at my home is a high speed connection 15Mbs/3Mbs along with a server running IIS 7.0, SQL Server, and Oracle. All of my development will be done on my server where you will have access to watch as I work. When the project is finished, I'll hand over the code or push it to your domain. Several hosting sites have great tools for building web pages, but speed is always a factor. I can work faster with my local server.

I'm not locked into my current skillset. Whenever I'm given a task that uses technology I'm not familiar with, I get familiar real quick.

One example is back in 1995 I was hired as a temp to work for Intuit upgrading hardware and software. I got this job with a resume based on my hobby. The first task I was given was to upgrade Network Cards on 60 workstations that filled 3 classrooms. I had never worked on a network before, but I knew all hardware had drivers for it. I copied the drivers to a floppy disk from one computer that already had the upgrade. By Noon that day I had all 3 classrooms up to speed.

Another example was when I worked for a Market Research Company in their online department. I had never worked with an Oracle database, but I got a copy and installed it at home. Within a month I had the first version of a Survey Engine written in PL/SQL. I had to learn PERL as well for that project for the CGI front end.

So please don't be discouraged from working with me because my Portfolio is light. I can tackle just about anything thrown my way.
