Service Description:
I have 20 years experience in the development of software, from coding through to the project management of large, multi-million dollar enterprise platform developments. A particular skill is the ability to ensure that applications deliver on the real business needs within cost and time constraints. This comes from the experience I have gained over years of using best practice systems engineering and project management processes on defense and safety-critical transport applications. Added to this I have spent over 5 years working in a fast paced commercial environment where low-cost, lightweight and fast delivery have been paramount. In all cases it was essential to success that the real stakeholder needs were identified, and that every subsequent activity focused on most effectively satisfying those needs and nothing else - no sidetracks, bells and whistles, etc. - just the best ROI achievable.

That is the difference I bring to the party! Overarching my excellent full lifecycle engineering skills (project management, requirements specification, architecture, development, implementation, documentation and testing) I have the experience to ensure that all of these activities are performed so as to provide the best ROI in delivering on the stakeholder needs. This does not mean cutting corners and low quality. On the contrary, it means software engineered (not just randomly thrown together or hacked!) to minimize on-going support and maintenance costs as appropriate for the project.
