Service Description:
Magazine Editor 1994 - present
Epicenter: A Literary Magazine: Working with co-editors in the production of a bi-annual literary magazine which features poetry, short stories, creative non-fiction and artwork from around the world. Epicenter is a not for profit 501 (c3) organization and a member of the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses.
Book Publisher 2007 – present
Petroglyph Books: Co-founded by Ruth Nolan and myself, we have published five titles under this imprint in 2008: From India With Love, Swami Ramananda, What Manner of Beast, Johnny Fathom, Needle In The Hay, Zachary Smith, The Port Of 7 Vices, Brandy Borrows, and Dry Waterfall, Ruth Nolan. In 2007 we published three other poet chapbooks.
Graphic Design
Palms To Pines Birding and Nature Trail: In collaboration, Professors Ruth Nolan and Kurt Leuschner and myself created the Palms to Pines Birding and Nature Trail. The Friends of the Desert Mountains published the map in March of 2008.
Solstice: Working with Journalism 10 Literary Magazine Production students of The College of the Desert, during the 2007 and 2008 spring semesters, we produced the 2007 and 2008 issues of Solstice, the literary magazine of The College of the Desert. Solstice features the writing and artwork of the students and faculty of The College of the Desert.
Clocks We Watch: My friend, Mary Copeland, asked me to design the cover for her book of poetry, Clocks We Watch; currently being publish by Plain View Press.
Petroglyph Books: I did the layout and design of all the books published by Petroglyph Books.
Event Fliers: I have designed many fliers for events, poetry readings, books and magazine launches.
