(2) - On the other hand we can help the development process with a proper (plausibility level) simulation (Mathematica).
(3) - We are able to build a SIL or HIL environment in a lower cost than leading simulation companies.

Offer#2 We develop your embedded code according to requirements and the appropriate simulation:
(1) - development with model based design methodology: we do all the development process under Matlab/Simulink and can generate code with Real-Time Workshop or Targetlink. The design, implementation, code generation and verification process are prepared under Matlab.
(2) - We ensure the sophisticated and validated simulation to examine the global behaviours of embedded code with black box tests. This decreases the development costs by replacing simulation instead of real world measurements.


Short explanation of concepts:
Software metrics in real life:
The most frequent problem in development procedure is that, although there are many tests appended with the embedded software releases, (in automotive industry: CAN emulation, diagnostic, failsafe and so on) the most essential tests are often missing: the functional tests. The main reason for this is that it is hard to specify exactly the algorithm which are wished to be audited.
There are two main methods for functional testing:
White box type testing methodology
Black box type testing methodology

White box type testing (n-version programing)
This is about examining the details. Let us see for example one essential signal. In hardware in the loop type tests we save all the necessary input signals during the simulation in a measurement file. Later we recalculate it in another software environment, for example under Matlab, and then compare the results. If the control algorithm and the Matlab model issues the same signals then there is no deviation. This method can guarantee that during the implantation there were no misunderstandings. If we choose Matlab/Simulink to recalculate the signals it could work as an executable specification.

Black box type testing:
The scope of this type testing is the global behaviour of the software. It replaces the expensive hardware-based testing. For example in automotive industry this kind of tests can replace the expensive test road driving. The main difficulty is that that this requires sophisticated and validated simulation and models.
