Description
I am looking to hire a programmer to help us with our business web site. I am a Lotus Notes programmer, but was told by a colleague that WordPress is the way to go. Unfortunately, I know nothing about it. My colleague installed our web site on his server, so I have played around with it a bit. But I really need somebody to walk me through a couple things:
1. First off, I need to know if WordPress is the correct platform. The site we want to create, in functionality, is very similar to www.nannies4hire.com. We are in a different industry, but this is what we would like. So without too much extra coding, will WP work?
2. If WP is the correct platform, I will also need somebody to do either some virtual/computer-based training, or if you are local, come on in and sit with me for a couple hours.
If you are interested, here\\\'s the project:
1. Need you to scope out how you will make this happen - how much time you think it will take and how much you will charge for a final, delivered product.
2. I would like to get our site done and published in the next few weeks.
3. I see this project with the following deliverables: training me, helping me develop the web site so that I can manage it going forward, determine what plugins are needed and how to install and customize (if necessary), coding (if necessary - I would like to keep this to a minimum), and launch.
4. I hate to put this down, but you must speak English. I am in the US and when you train me, I need to understand you. If you have a thick accent and I can\\\'t understand you, it will be frustrating and I will fire you - sorry.
