Description
Please keep in mind when creating this plugin that we will need more wordpress plugins added as \"items\" within this plugin at a later date after we create them or have existing plugins edited or altered and as such, the folder used for the “items” should be able to handle correctly coded items that are dropped into the folder.
When the plugin is activated, it should create a menu within the admin sidebar of wordpress that will have a settings page where all the items are listed and can be activated/deactivated/uninstalled/backed up one by one or in bulk (uninstall must remove everything related to that “item” except the default files in the plugin and then deactivate the “item”). The uninstall feature should ask for confirmation from the admin and then remove all entries and any other saved info that it has made so that it is as if the item was never installed. This is so that we have a reset should anything go wrong with one of these items. It can look similar to the wordpress plugins page, where each item can be listed with the details of each item and the options available for each item such as activate, deactivate, uninstall and backup as well as a link to the settings page which will be viewable also under the admin sidebar. Every item that is activated should be listed under the menu within the admin sidebar of wordpress as a sub menu item. Each sub menu item will need just one page each which will be used for settings and any other options.
Each item will have free features (which will need a free license key), but will need a license to be fully activated. Each “item” will include a license key section at the top of their settings page where the license key can be added to unlock the full features of the “item. The two plugins to be included in this plugin initially do not have any premium features, but they will still need licenses to unlock the free features and optons. All licenses will have a prefix using the first 5 letters of the item name. For example, scissors would have a prefix of “sciss”. This prefix should be hard coded into the item so that the user only adds the license key after the prefix. When the license is checked by connecting to our license server, it should use the full license including the prefix. I would also like a master license to be available where one license can be added that will allow everything to be activated without the need for individual license keys for each item. The master license key will have a prefix of “master”. Our licensing system is WHMCS and we have provided a default license file/coding for you to use. We can supply you with license keys for you to test when/if you need them, just ask and we will provide them for you.
Please move all the details of who created the plugins that are used within this plugin in the list of items included with the plugin so that it would look like this \"Access Expiration was created by Mr Joe Blogs and is updated and maintained by domain.com\". Please do this in a fashion that looks tidy and allows us to list this for all the plugins that we add to this plugin.
This plugin should add a line of code to the customers theme footer that says \"some features by Domain.com\" linking to domain.com.
We are using “domain.com” until we know which domain we will be using to list this plugin.
*Pages
This plugin should have the following pages:
Wp-Ultimate-Toolbox: This is the main page and is both the title of the menu and the first option within the menu which should be settings. This is where all the items will be listed so that they can be activated, deactivated, uninstalled and backed up individually or in bulk. Each item that is active should show a link to the “settings” page for that item.
Options: Links to page detailed above.
Item Settings: This will not be a single menu option, but multiple options, providing one menu option for each item that the user has activated. For example, if they were to activate the scissors item, then “scissors” would be displayed here along with the other items that were activated. This settings page is where the “settings” link for each item within the wp-Ultimate-Toolbox and Options page would link to.
*Update
Ideally, we would like a notification to be displayed when updates are available. This would need to be done by connecting to a file on our website and checking the latest version. We could use something simple like a txt file or whatever you suggest.
*Phases
Phase 1: Taking the two customized plugins we already have, you would create the plugin detailed above and then add the plugins as items.
Phase 2: We will have more items created from existing plugins or by having new ideas created and added to this plugin. These will be added as separate projects for you. Phase 2 is NOT part of this project and is planned for the future.
*Professional
This plugin should look professional and look sleek wherever possible. I don’t want any horrible looking tables and want everything to be sleek, stylish and sliding wherever possible.
*Internationalization
This plugin should use internationalization so that it is available in all languages wordpress is available in. If this would be too expensive, please just provide the files a user would need to translate it them self. I would like your advice on this.
