Phase II
Objectives
Create registration and My Profile form in a php and ajax framework.
Deliverables
• Technical Guide
• Profile.php
• Profile.css
• Singup.php
• dsUser.php
• Database changes
• Any other files which are required to complete project, such as css, javascript and or images.
Design Constraints
• PHP5 and above
• Use of PHP templates for separation of code and html.
• Use PEAR for DB interactions
• Works on linux – apache web server.
• My SQL Database
• Database manipulation code should be in a separate PHP5 class called dsUser.php.

• Form is to be integrated into this site, ensure it will be displayed correctly on background:

Visual Styling: See image below. Ignore the background image and change the shape of the popup, however the font format, and sizes should be similar. All styles specified in css MyProfile.css
Info Popups: When you tab to the various input fields a popup appears explaining what to enter.
Fields required: Username, email, password, firstname, lastname, Country, postcal code or zip, birthday, gender.
Database SQL: Here is the existing SQL, do not change any existing fields, just add to them if necessary.

Ajax: The page should be completely ajaxified and web 2.0. No postbacks should occur, for example in the “Check: button.
Save Registration: When a user saves the registration, an activation email is sent, which embeds a unique activation code from table Activation. The email sent should be based on a html template.
Page Text: The field names and help text should be specified in an include file, to allow easy manipulation of the final results. Use variable names prefixed with MyProfile_Name, MyProfile_Email, for field names, and for help popup prefix with MyProfile_Help_Name, MyProfile_Help_Email etc.
Profile.php
Purpose: This should be very similar to the registration form except the purpose is to allow the user to alter their registration details.
Fields they can edit: All fields except username.
Password Reset: Include functionality to reset password.
Design: To look and adopt same design principles as specified in Singup.php
Loads user details: Checks PHP Session parameter “UserID” and compares it to querystring parameter “uid” If UserID does not match then it is assumed to be another user viewing this users profile. All elements of the profile should be visible in a read only mode, except for password and email which should be hidden.
