Dear Max,
for several applications, and also your program PartyOrder, we need tables with our products and prices in csv-text file.
To update these table, I'm looking to create a smart application which allows to open a table and import a file which will update the existing table. We need 3 different options to update: REPLACE, ADDING VALUE or ERASE.
The program should be as follow:
After starting the application, we can browes files and choose a text file in CSV-format with semikolon separation (;) and an Update file in the same format, but only with the concerning colomns.
The first colomns of the files is allways the index fields which are for our databases the product references.
After the choice of the 2 files, we have to chooce the update option which could be
REPLACE for replace the existing value with the value of the update file
ADDING VALUE to add a numeric value to the existing value (only numeric values)
ERASE to erase the value of the field OR erase the whole line if there isn't any colomn after the index colomn.
At the end, the program save the old file with a suffix "_OLD" and new file under the same name like the source file.
The fields are numeric and alphanumeric fields with a lenght of maximal 300 caracters. The tables have maximal 50 colomns and 30'000 lines.
The title of the colomn will be same, but not the same order and the update file have only the coloms which must be updated.

I would also have another feature. Some of our datafiles have wrong caracters as we export them from differents applications. Il would like to have feature which allows to open a text file and replace
