Description
The subject of this project is an 8 tab (page) business website that I have already assembled using Microsoft Publisher...
It's really put together quite nicely but may need to be rebuilt using something like Joomla or Mambo but my first choice would be to leave it in Microsoft Publisher so that I can update it myself when needed...
Page 1 is a Welcome Page which has a text box with a form in it for the visitor to fill out...
In it is a box for him (or her) to fill in an Access Code which would allow him (or her) to move to a Sub Domain and allow him (or her) to navigate his (or her) around that domain? I will also need some information that they place in the form to be emailed to our email address ...
Page 2 contains among other things a picture box that will contain an 18 page Microsoft Word Document that I plan to convert to 18 individual PDF Files (pictures) that I would like play (transition) in and out for the reader via a Flash Slide Show. In a perfect world I would like to add the effect of the pages actually turning, but I know that requires a lot of additional programming?
Page 3 is essentially done but contains one text box that I need to be able to update globally on a daily basis throughout each one of the Sub Domains? It also contains one picture box and a text box that are unique to that Sub Domain, and should not be subject to Global Changes of The Website? It also contains one picture box that I will need to be Flash Capable as it will loop an up to 16 picture Flash Slide Show? with each picture cycling once every 4 minutes..
Page 4 is essentially done, and consists mostly of information, which will be unique to that particular Sub Domain, and not subject to any Global Changes in The Website?
Page 5 is essentially done but I will need to update it globally from time to time?
Page 6 is essentially done but contains one text box that I would like to be Flash Capable should I ever need to use that option
Page 7 consists of just text boxes that I would rarely have to update, but I would like to be able to update globally if needed?
Page 8 consists of just text boxes also that I would rarely have to update and will also have need of a Credit Card Processing Module?
The main thing the site will need is Automation. By that I mean that the site will be an 8 tab (page) site that will have 100's or even 1,000's of sub domains that I will need to globally update sections in from time to time... one daily... one monthly... and the rest as needed.
There will also be a few sections (on 2 pages) that will be unique to each sub domain that will need to be updated on an individual basis and not subject to Global changes...
Here is what I think I need?
Possible site rebuild using Joomla Or Mambo
Two (possibly three) Flash slide shows
A Subdomain Automation Admin Module (Giving me the option to add subdomains and be able to update the pages individually and also globally.
Valid Access Code Module with Data Base.
The website is definitely going to need a DB to drive it?
I know that I have not explained this as well as I could... but this should give you a good idea of what I need to have done.
