I just posted a project under Writing but THEN realised that there is a separate category for Transcription. If you bid on that, no need to bid on this!
My JV Partner and I have at least 60 hours, but probably up to 120 hours of audio, mainly of USA speakers, in MP3 format. The subject matter is sales, marketing and copywriting.
We want to transform MP3 audio only to a complete course.
This means that you will need to:
1) accurately transcribe audio to MS Word. (leave out "um!" "ah!" immediate repetition etc)
2) Each hour needs a sheet with important points on it BUT instead of key words there is __________
eg. Let's say the speaker says:
"Every business needs a USP or "Unique Selling Proposition"
You would probably write:
"Every business needs a USP or ________ ____________ __________"
3) Each hour needs a self test of about 25 questions (probably 5 segments of 5 questions?) so that the listener can test him/herself after each 10-15 minute segment.
(2) & (3) can have a fair bit of duplication no problem.
SKILLS:
For (1) you need a sharp ear and fast fingers!
For (2) & (3) you need to be able to sort out what is important and what is not. At a quick guess, I think you need experience in your own business or a degree. I'm open to hearing what you have to say.
If you want to quote for one and not the other, that's fine.
