Description
The League Management system will be a site programmed in vb.net (ASP.NET 2.0) used by league officials, referees, coaches, and players to improve league management and communications for all parties. It will also save the officials’ much time and will allow league officials to focus on activities that will allow their league to grow and prosper. The sports league manager will be able to handle all sports with straight-forward scoring systems including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, ping-pong, volleyball, hockey to name a few. Features of the league manager include:
1. allows league manager to manage all aspects of leagues including managing teams, games, referees, and venues
2. allows management of payments from the league to referees, from players to leagues, from teams to leagues, and from players to coaches. Payments will be done through Paypal only (for this project)
3. League manager will display different pages and menus based on the many user roles: league manager, referee, coach, player, player agent, club board member
4. Each user will have blogging capabilities
5. Coaches, referees, and league managers will have the ability to edit the news content on different pages. As an example, a coach will be able to edit the team news page.
6. The league manager will have numerous assignment options. For example, be able to assign players to teams, coaches to teams, etc.
7. There will be many email functionality that allow the league manager to communicate by email to the entire league or to all referees, etc. The league manager will also be able to invite/add referees to a league by sending an email invite to the referee and the referee will confirm the add by clicking a link in an email. This funcationality will also be available to coaches, players, etc.
8. Certain roles will have the ability to rate others. For example, after a game has been played, the coaches, players, and league manager will have the ability to rate the referee.
9. There will be import functionality to allow players to be uploaded to teams, coaches to be uploaded to teams, referees to be uploaded to leagues
10. There will be message forums
11. Each user will be able to edit their profile
12. There will be the ability for players and coaches to purchase sports equipment. We will need to find an affiliate program to tie into the league management system.


Not included in this project are the following:
1. I have already completed the scheduler coding. You will not be expected to create schedules for the league manager
2. I have completed the database table design. You WILL be expected to create stored procedures all all other aspects of the database.
3. I will be responsible for the design of the HTML using Dreamweaver. You will be responsible for code development using vb.net asp.net 2.0.
