Description
Computer Software

(a) Supply and delivery of software for:

(i) Intrusion Detection;

(ii) Network Management;

(iii) Virus Scanning;
and
(iv) backup services and other Microsoft software, for the MCN as set out in the Bill of Materials


(b) Provision of software management services which may include:

(i) management of the software inventory on the MCN server and desktop environment including making such information available online;

(ii) ability for Finance to add ad hoc purchases to the MCN database or undertaking by supplier to add them on Finance`s behalf. Generally this would be in a situation where the supplier of software management services is unable to supply the software at a competitive price;

(iii) ability to obtain online reports detailing purchasing information, maintenance information and specific product details such as version numbers licence numbers and serial numbers as required;

(iv) ability to obtain online quotations for future software purchases or at least streamlined procedures based upon email;

(v) advice on appropriate future procurement strategies;
and
(vi) assistance with software audits on a fee-for-service basis
