Skillprover UK Ltd are looking for talented Test Authors/Compilers who have at least 5 years experience in any of the following skill test areas so please read carefully:-

Programming Tests
MS C#.Net Programming
MS VB.Net Programming
Perl Programming
Unix K-Shell Scripting
Unix Bourne-Shell Scripting
Unix C-Shell Scripting

Database Tests
Oracle 8/9i Administrator
Oracle 8/9i Programming

The task is to write technical skill tests each of which consist of 25 questions with 5 multiple choice answers. Here are the characteristics of all tests:-

Each test covers only 1 skill area above.
5 Multiple Choice Answers (MCAs) for each question.
Feasible MCAs so as not to allow choice by elimination easily.
Strength must be in the order of intermediate to difficult.

Mixed bag style, that is the questions must cover different features of a skill area. For example, the C# Programming test must have questions covering OOP specific features such as inheritance, polyporphism, STL etc. You can ask up to 3 questions in each feature of a test. For example there could be 3 questions in the area of function/variable scope.

The chosen compilers MUST be degree qualified with at least 6 years experience and you must be able to provide a reference to whom we could authenticate the skill and qualification of the individual compilers chosen.

I will supply an empty Microsoft Access database which will be used to enter your questions and answers. Contained within is 1 non-live tests that you can see how they are constructed. Remember that your test will be passed to an equally skilled validator to authenticate originality and accuracy.

You will also have the option to 'cycle' your authored test fortnightly. That is replace 10 questions with new similarly structured questions, and for this you can expect to be paid a fee. You may be asked to validate someone else’s test if that is in your subject area.

No payment will be made until tests have been received and QA'd by the company.

This is an easier task than you think. We are interested in applications from all over the world and we make payment by PayPal only. This project might suit individuals or an organisation that has the personnel to develop technical tests for us on perhaps a contractual basis.


Remember, whatever you bid the price to pay for each test is fixed at US$100.
