Hi Riyoyo, first of all do you accept getacoder escrow, and can I just confirm that the copyright and any other intellectual property will be mine, you won't disclose anything relating to this project to anyone and that you will comment your script (just a bit) so I know what's going on?
Webman03 was a scammer trying to make me pay him money up front, without seeing any work through western union, so I now want to offer the job to you if you are still interested.
If so, I am willing to offer you the job 1-6 BELOW), but with a few extra bits which shouldn't take long (SEE 7-11 BELOW) for the $2000, and on the basis that you will get it done in three days (or at least very quickly). If it will take you 10 days then I can pay onlinesystemsbiz only $1000, so time is of the essence for me that is why I am paying the extra! Do you need root access to my server to install modules as this can be arranged?
If you want to see fully what the job entails have a look round www.rkhips.co.uk (username is: rk and password is: krs) it is a web site for an estate agent to create and view a Home Information Pack (a selection of documents you must provide when selling your house in the UK, called a "hip").
If you "instruct a new hip" (just make up a reference -letters and numbers only) and fil out the rest of the form and see what happens (there is no server side error checking behind the scenes yet, I want you to help here -SEE BELOW 6,8-9,11). At the moment the form data is stored in an ndbm db (which will be sql soon once I know how to do it) and I store the .pdf'd in ndbm directories which have the same name as the refernce number (the reference number is definately going to have "/" or "\" in it, so I need to replace those characters which I have not yet).
Next you will see the first page. If you click the "Part 1 - General" button, the choose "Home Information pack index" (hip/index.pl) this is where I want a "print all button" which prints ALL the documents that have been uploaded to the sections on the left (listed in the table below) in one press (not all sections will be displayed as not all will be relevant). I also want a seperate "print part 1", "print part 2", and a "print selection (chosen by the user using tickboxes)".
These "print all" buttons will order AND NUMBER (and insert a title page for each section) all the .pdf documnets that they have uploaded via the rest the section pages such as "hip/epc.pl", "hip/la.pl". There might be more than 1 document per section.
hip/sale.pl is an example of some of the information that will eventually be stored in the sql db and needed to be converted to .pdf with the rest of the pages (once I know how to read and write to it -can you help me here SEE 10 BELOW). I also need data from xhtml forms which will be instead of the .doc and .pdf documents available from hip/hu.pl, and hip/hc.pl and also stored in the sql db. Or should all data from xhtml forms always be duplicated in .pdf format to speed up the "print all" function?
I am open to suggestions for better data storage solutions!
This site is far from finished, and I am adding more sections all the time, and in Part 4 "authorised", I am putting an upload facility where miscellaneous documents can be uploaded (these documents will be named by the user)
So I need:
1. a "print all" function with a contents page, page numbering in a "bottom footer bar" and a title page for each section which is flexible so I can add and remove pages dynamically.
2. also a "print section", and a "print selection" function
3. A means of creating a .*pdf dynamically from data collected in an xhtml form which will replace the .doc/.pdf on hip/hu.pl and hip/hc.pl (should a .pdf to duplicate the information be generated behind the scenes each time this information is updated?)
4. I also need the reference numbers on each page, a unique timestamp, (if required, I might need the printers name which will be collected from a form at the time of printing), and some sort of "header title bar" with a logo image in it.
5. Can any previous numbering in the uploaded .*pdf files be removed?
6. can you also do something to convert the reference number to something safe for processing in the upload fields but still have it unchanged? I have checked and the $rkref refernce numbers ($blref is at the mmoment unknown) are at the moment a 5 letter/5 number/1 number reference, combination but are liable to change and could have a slightly different format and/or with different separators e.g.
25 Grove Park = GROVE/28392/1
30 Parkridge Lane = PARKR/54301/2

7. Can you turn on taint checking on my server so I can use the -wT flag at the beginning of my scripts?
8. Can you write a short function to stop malicious input/avoid hacking, as at the moment I have only client side JavaScript checking as I need to deliver something asap.
9. Can you write a function that only allows people to upload certain sorts (and also I want to limit the size of files to say 2MB) of files that I specify (I just want to be able to add file types to an array). In this case I want .pdf only.
10. Can you show me how to access my sql db (I only use it for authentication at the moment) so I can use sql instead of ndbm (I presume I do much the same as ndbm as regards the dbi unless you have a better idea). I understand sql -or at least I did in 1996 at university anyway, so I can then migrate my fucntions over because I want to be able to search on any field such as address, or either refernce number.
11. Can you have a general look round and see if I have any glaring security holes, or no-nos. I am also going to make every script a CGI::Fast script eventually.
