Description
This project is for the implementation of a Remote Monitoring Service (RMS). Full details of the service are in the attachment. Skills required are:
- Programming - I am not too concerned what language is used, but would prefer either C#, Java or VB .Net. Something up to date.
- Remote SMTP email - The RMS must generate emails (without Outlook etc setup on the PC) so must have knowledge of how this can be done - probably using an available SMTP server.
- SMS Gateways. I may set this up myself but it would be good if you had an understanding of how these work. I want the email to generate an SMS.
- Microsoft Access - RMS will query an Access database. Must understand how locking works within access to avoid any problms.
- Threading - The RMS must run in the background (on Windows XP) as either an executable or a service. Coder must understand this area.
- Language Skills - While not complicated, this is not a straightforward piece of work like designing a website. As such, I must be working with someone who has excellent english. There can be NO room for misunderstandings. Ability to use instant messaging and/or phone is required.
- Speed - I want this up and running ASAP.
- Partnership - This is the first phase of at least 3. Whoever takes on this work puts themselves in excellent position to continue with the next phases.
