Description
Looking for single-person company to handle many projects.
We have several data-intensive websites (php/mysql/html) that share data and have similar structures. We are planning several more websites.
This job is hopefully a first step to finding the right coder for a longer term relationship. Please consider that this first job is very simple, and we only want to work with someone that can handle the harder stuff too. We build trust slowly, allow you to learn the inner-workings of our sites gradually, and give you more and more challenging assignments. We want someone who can be a reliable expert for our sites within 12 months.
Job #1 - this job. This one is simple, and we need someone who can handle it quickly and brilliantly.
This site, PrivateRecitals.com, like our other sites, has several page formats (all pages same width, but the there are several variations of layout.) We do not want to risk breaking pages with complicated boxes etc.
Therefore, the changes will be limited to fonts, colors, and background. We will borrow several elements from this example site [www.philipficsor.com]
1. Background. We would like a light background, either with a wood or paper grain like you see on the example site. No lines necessary for the background image, and it should be able to expand downward for longer pages - we don\'t want it to look tiled.
2. Fonts. We would like to see different fonts (especially for headers and key text) that better reflect the \"classical music\" character of this site.
3. Colors. We would like to have 2 different shades of brown (light, dark) for the text, and a key color for all linked text. Right now, all linked text (menu, footer, body text links) are gold. We\'d like to keep this arrangement, but gold will not work against the light background. We want the linked items to be clearly visible in relation to the page, accompanying text, etc.
Note: Our current logo at Private Recitals (upper left) will obviously not work for the new look of the site. See attached file for what we\'d like to see in place of the current logo. If you can recreate that (font) as a clear png to replace the logo it would be very helpful.
Characteristics: classical music, living rooms, small concerts, personal events, classy, elegant.
We will provide you with existing CSS document, where you can find the relevant lines to change the look of the site. After you create the look (PSD file?) and we approve it, we will upload the CSS changes you created for testing, unless you can describe a better way to implement this simple job.
We also need someone with very good command of english language, and who understands the importance of meeting deadlines for projects. Thank you.

Hello!
I am a single-person development company. I have reviewed your requirements, and I can complete these tasks before the 5 day delivery time I have requested. The extra day or two is providing a buffer, and acceptance.
For testing/acceptance I would use wget to pull the website down, and I would make the changes on a private web server. I would then allow your company password-protected (or, ip-protected if you wish to share that with me) to the private realm.
