Video Management
I need to have a solution which let me manage video over the web.
I need both the front-end and back-end side.
1) Front- end : Adobe flash player >8 ( must run on windows, mac , linux)
I need a flash player like this: http://www.beaducation.com/classes/?p=play&class=21
The flash player must be able to manage multiple related videos, composing a class as in the example.
The interface must show for each video: title, subtitle , image, description, length.
I will need to have the fla in order to be able to customize its graphical aspect.
All the information about video will be uploaded with the back-end ( see below).
2) Back-end ( to be implemented in php 4.4.1, mysql 5.0.62; running on *nix systems)
The tool will let to upload a set of video logically related , composing a class ( i.e. course ) .
The class/course will be made up by:
- A title, subtitle, general description, image ( specific for the class, common for all videos )
- For each video part of the class: title, subtitle , image, description, length.
Uploading the class/course, all the information will be :
- stored on a mysql db
- written on file system, in order to be accessible to the flash player
Db structure: ( two tables)
- Table class : containing information about the class
- Table Video: containing information about the videos of each class and link between video and class
File system:
For each class the tool will create a directory named by its id, in each class directory the tool will create a html file , a xml file containing all the information about the class and all its videos and create a directory for each video, containing the video, its image, a xml file with all the information about the video.
As an example let’s consider the first class in the list, present at url http://www.beaducation.com/classes/?p=play&class=22 , titled Intro to seed beads
Let’s assume we upload that class with id 1. In the file system we will find :
/classes/1
In /classes /1 we will find:
class_ Intro_ to_ seed_ beads. Html ( i.e. class_ titlevideo.html = the html file including the front-end flash player )
Class_1.xml ( the xml file related to the class and its videos )
Class_1. jpg ( the image related to the class )
/classes/1/videos/1 ( the directory related to video 1 , the first part of the class)
…
/classes/1/videos/8 ( the directory related to video 8 , the 8 part of the class)
In /classes/1/videos/1 we will find:
Video_1_1.xml ( the xml file related to the video )
Video_1_1. jpg ( the image related to the class )
Video_1_1. Flv ( the physical video )
All the software must be commented and a minimal word document must be produced.
