Description
I need some modifications done in php to the open source PHPauction software. I have already installed the software and played around and the website can be viewed here www(dot)justgoodstuff(dot)co(dot)za.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE QUOTING - I can purchase alternative auction software that costs $170 (PHP Pro) so if your quote is going to be higher or around that don't bother quoting.
I like the layout of PHPauction software and admin so I would prefer to stay with that format.
I think my requirements should be fairly simple as some are available in more advanced versions of PHPauction and have just been disabled, and if you know PHP coding then I assume what I require should be simple enough.
There are 8 things I require done, items 1 - 5 are extremely easy and no real coding is involved, items 6, 7 and 8 will require some coding.
1. Currency - currently the currency is displayed by the currency code, as USD or ZAR - I want it displayed as the symbol, so ZAR=R and USD=$
2. On the front page it lists as a header the "Last created auctions", I would like that heading changed to say "Newest auctions".
3. I would like a thumbnail picture to be included with the newest auctions on the front page
4. On the front page it says "Next ending" as a header and I would like that changed to "Ending soon".
5. On the front page there is empty space to the right of the logo - I would like to be able to put a banner there that I can change when required. Currently there is a banner option in admin but it is only available for the various auction categories. Any banner put on the main page MUST NOT conflict or interfere with the banner admin and banners on the category pages.
6. I have picked up an issue with the Dutch style auctions - it lets people place bids below the minimum the seller wants, so I want this fixed. For example currently if I list a Dutch auction with a quantity of 5 and a minimum cost of say USD10 per item, it will let someone bid on say 3 quantity with a value of USD8 - this is wrong and I don’t want someone to be able to place bids below the minimum the seller wants. In standard auctions it doesn’t let a seller bid below the minimum so it must be a slight glitch in the software
7. I would like to be able to charge an optional listing fee and have this managed in the admin side. Some options I would like to have is the value of the listing fee and different categories - so maybe only a listing fee say for the cameras category and then a different listing fee if any for other categories.
8. Stores - I would like to be able to offer stores at a cost - so in the admin section I would have to be able to apply this option to a seller if he has paid for it. I would like to be able to apply a monthly cost and then I must be able to have that option in admin panel to apply a store to a seller or not. The stores would be listed on the site like a category and each store would be a branch of the store category. I would like the sellers listing to appear both in his store and also in the relevant category - so if a seller was selling watches, the watch would appear twice - once in his store and once in the watch category.
If you are not able to do everything on this list but can do some, please advise which ones you can do and the cost.
