PHP/MySQL Web and Video Development
Required skill sets:
- Extensive GUI and UI Design experience
- High level of skill and knowledge with PHP , MYSQL, community forum phpBB
- Knowledge and experience with HTML / DHTML / CSS (W3C standard compliant)
- Add comments in your code that are clear enough for someone who doesn't know you to understand why you did what you did.
-Fine attention to detail. Both UI and back-end for Administrator must be seamless
Components of website that will be required are:
-Login page
-Members content navigation page
-Account preferences page
-Video content page
-Content download page
-Support page
-Admin Backend Support page with HTTPS GET capability page
You must have virtual working experience, ethics, & integrity, good written English communication skills, ability to follow written instructions and be available via IM & e-mail.
Please attach a script that shows all of these things, plus a supporting SQL file that shows the database structure you're working within the script. We are only seeking well prepared programmers who have sample scripts prepared.
A quickly edited non-working version of whatever you happen to be working on at the moment won't help us understand if you're the person we're looking for. What will help us is a script that really shows all of the above. This means that all of the functions called in the script are defined in the script, or in a supporting library file that you send to us. If in doubt, send us a stand-alone working script.
Components of Video portion that will be required are:
Steps:
1. Cut up a DVD provided by us into scenes, organize the scenes, and organize filenames, tags, icon filenames, and scene labels in spreadsheet for review, and submit all files for approval.
2. Once approved, we will send additional DVDs to continue on the basis of the approval.
We will provide DVDs. Each DVD should be cut up into scenes and reformatted into an appropriate flash video for presentation. Content should be cut into segments corresponding to the scenes on the video and saved into separate files. A spreadsheet will list the file names along with labels and tags corresponding to the file.
The entire video should have a label and tags
Tags should represent who is in the video
Each scene should have a label
Tags should represent who is in the scene, which video it is, etc
Three version of each video should be created according to the spec provided
Three format versions per scene:
1. MPG at 640x480 @ 125kB/second (or 1Mbps) Square pixels 1.0
2. FLV at 320 x 240 @ 54kB/second (or 432kbps) Square pixels 1.0
3. FLV at 240 x 180 @ 35kB/second (or 280kbps) Square pixels 1.0
Also, each video should have an icon generated for navigation (jpeg format, 320x240). This should be clearly named in a similar way as the videos.
Provider chooses and must obtain software used to create videos
There are many more details that will be required, however due to the nature of project; details will not be released until a formal proposal is submitted.
When bidding, please provide:
1. Your sample script
2. Your link to sample video work
3. Your bid amount and hours included with your bid (we will ask you to bid on a larger project once we know we can work well together). We MUST receive BOTH bid amount and hours included.
4. Your resume/portfolio
5. Your references who can verify your programming skills
