Description
We are launching a photography business that will outsource the work to local photographers. We need a contract with them stating:
• the extent of our relationship (they are contractors, not employees)
• the ownership of the photos they photographer takes for us (it belongs to us, not them)
• use of the photos (they can't use it in their portfolio unless we OK it)
• compliance to our company’s policies, such as those about keeping copies of the photos (all copies must be turned in to us) or minimum number of shots to take during a photoshoot, etc.
• rules about not conducting business directly with the clients (or client's referrals) we forward to the photographers
• rules about liabilities (e.g. they must carry insurance, indemnify us of any damages, etc.)
We also need some sort of document to attach to this agreeing to a fee schedule.
This contract is about 90% done already (see attached document). We based it on http://keepyourcopyrights.org/contracts/samples/12 and modified it to suit our needs. Some of the above items have not been addressed, though. We want someone with contract writing experience to handle the finish touches for us.
These are just some of the things we think we need. Suggestions are also welcomed.
We need this contract done soon. Hopefully, we can get a lawyer to do this for us, but someone with experience with contract/labor laws + contract writing experience will do.
