Description
We are an IT-Consulting Company in Germany with over 650 mostly private clients.
In order to give our clients better Service, we are planning to run a program on each client pc for security reasons.
This is a short Documentation which will concentrate on showing the idea of the functions of a security program that checks system features in Microsoft Windows: Windows Firewall, Windows Defender and the Antivirus Program. We are interested of keeping in touch with the programmer for further development of this and other programs in the near future.
1. The Program is supposed to work with the following operating Systems:
a. Windows XP Home and Professional 32bit
b. Windows Vista Basic / Home Premium / Business / Ultimate 32 + 64bit
c. Windows 7 Home Basic / Home Premium / Professional / Enterprise 32 + 64bit
2. More functions should be supported as:
a.- Quick installation with a single exe-file
b. - During installation a name for the client PC is asked from the user and kept for further development as in 3 a.
c. - Placement of other exe-files to new created folders (e.g. quick user support)
d. - An icon on the lower right side of the windows screen for running as background service
e. - Notifications after system boot on the windows screen (Such as “Your Computer is now protected by...”
f. - By clicking the icon on the lower right side it will show up system status information and hyperlinks.
g. - Frequent notifications windows after a period of time (7, 9, 12, 14 months) which can be reseted with a password.
h. - Notifications if Firewall / Antivirus / Windows Defender Status changes
i. - Uninstall safety by a password protection
3. Possible Development in coming-up versions:
a. - Sending automated messages to a database or E-Mailadress if Firewall / Antivirus / Windows Defender Status of the PC changes
b. - Remote control for messages showing up on the User Computer
Further information:
- Logo / Icon Design will be passed on to the programmer by us
- We will receive the programming code in each step of the development.
- Own ideas by the programmer are welcome
We are willing to pay for each step of the development in order to receive a product of our satisfaction and have you as the programmer a safety for a righteous payment for your work.
The following steps will be used as stages of development:
1. Installation (creating new folders, placement of exe-files (our tool for safe remote maintenance called “Netviewer”) in there) / entering of the name for user PC / Notification on boot (Protected by...) / icon on lower right (running as background service) / Windows opener with rudimentary information.
2. Implementation of the frequent notifications windows after a period of time (7, 9, 12, 14 months) which can be reseted with a password / Uninstall security by password.
3. Implementation of the necessary checks for the Windows Firewall / Defender / Antivirus (and notifications if Firewall / Antivirus / Windows Defender Status changes). Notifications if status changes.
4. Sending changes of the health status of the PC to a database in the internet with the event / time and the name of the Client PC.
After each programming step, demonstration of the program and ok from us the amount (splitted by 4) will be sent, then the programming code will be handed over.
