Description
The website would be where people can list certain items through a form, and have people contact them through contact buttons within the site. The person would come to the site, register a screename, and would be able to post their stuff. The person would use a form to post their stuff, and the form would be processed into a database.
The database would be able to be searched through a filter and keyword ( like "bananas" and filter it by "city"), and each listing in that parameter would come up.
A person trying to respond to the listing would hit a button, which would come up on another page that would have a box. The box is where the person can be more specific to the lister about who he/she is. This box will then be submitted to the lister, and the lister would receive an email.
The email would ask if the lister wants to do business with the responder. There should be two links: one that says yes, and one that says no.
If the lister says yes, he/she can provide specific information to the responder. This information, along with their contact info, would be sent to the responder.
If the lister says no, than nothing will be sent.
That is how the site will work.
The functions:
A: People who register has to be able to A: List 3 things, or B: Pay a fee. The form should place the option of what the user wants to do. So there should be a log-on system, and an ability to send an activation email upon payment and or listings. Only people with school identification can use this.
B: There should be a database for the listings. There should be about 4-6 parameters ( type of listing, location etc. ) that should be able to be searched. The database should be able to add extra listings ( ie: in the beginning, there will be two cities, but as it gets bigger we can add more cities to it).
C: There should be a search and filter. It should be able to search by keyword and location. The filters should be able to search within a certain parameter.
D: There should be a message system. The lister can be contacted by a button on the right side of the listing. Only people who are registered can use the button. Once clicked, it goes to another form, which is emailed to the lister. The system should also send two links, yes or no, which will then send another email if the verification from the lister is yes.
E: Points system. Every single time the lister says yes, he/she gets a certain amount of points, and the responder loses points. Every time the lister says no, the lister loses points. These points should be regulated in its own database, and the people with the greatest amount of points should be listed on their own page.
F: Looking for someone who can go over the process with us. We would like the system to be under Wordpress, but any system will do if you can help us progress after the project is done. If this can be done for less than $300, I would like to see a good portfolio.
