Description
For the 2nd version of our sports web site we’re looking for coders. For the first version, a pilot with a management game of the European Championship Football/Soccer, we used the following tools/scripts/techniques/database:
- Joomla
- PHP
- Javascript
- AJAX
- MySQL
Users made a team of 11 players. After the matches they could evaluate the performances of the players, giving a remark from 1-10. This way each player got an average score per match and we could generate a ranking of the players. The teams of the users got a score per match adding the 11 individual scores. Of course we ranked them as well.
You can check out our Dutch, database-driven site on pablitos.org. For this purpose you can log in with username oblong3 and password getacoder. In the second version we would like to add English. We’re looking for coders with experience in developing multilingual web sites, preferably with Joom!Fish. In user navigation we will change a few things and the process of registration will change.
In the 2nd version we’re also going to add:
- a game for the Dutch eredivisie football/soccer and a club game
- functionalities for the own team of users
It is possible to bid for both of the projects individually or for the whole project. If splitted in two the 1st project (with the games) will contain the general changes (multilingual, user navigation and register).
Differences between the games you will find in one of the attachments. The functionalities for the own teams of users will be:
- add and manage players
- manage and view availability
- manage and view statistics like goals, assists and (yellow and red) cards
- add and view marks
- add and manage line ups and substitutes
Other important notes:
- demo/test version of the game for the Dutch eredivisie should be ready before Saturday August 9th
- demo/test version of the functionalities for the own team should be ready before Saturday August 16th
- demo/test version of the club game should be ready before Saturday August 23th

If you need more information to make your bid, please let us know.
If we accept your bid and we’re going to build the 2nd version of the web site together, we will provide:
- functional descriptions of the pages
- graphical designs of the pages
- graphical elements necessary on the pages (including all the caricatures)
- a script for initiating the database of the 1st version
- a demo/test environment
We ask the bidder:
- to place a bid
- to let us know whether the bid is for one of the two or for both projects
- to let us know the experience with the tools/scripts/techniques/database we use (including Joom!Fish)
- to let us know their affinity with sports in general and football/soccer in particular
- to let us know what they think is necessary for both parties to meet the deadlines
When granted the bid we ask the developers:
- to build the web site as functionally described and graphically designed
- to ask us to make things more clear when they’re not
- to work with us together on an interactive and enthusiastic basis
- to put the demo/test version of the web site on our demo/test environment
- to bring the site up to perfection with us
