You may have bid on this project before and i would like to say that i chose the wrong company for the project below. If you can get this job done to my requirements then please bid. But if you can not do not waste my time and yours.
I have now developed a problem with between my merchant bank and my website which i need sorting out over the weekend anyone who can resolve this issue i will pay $150.00 We are a small courier company called IROC based in Nottingham UK with big ambitions. Starting out doing local deliveries in the Nottingham area for local business which then lead to doing National and International deliveries from letters parcels pallets same day deliveries. This was done by negotiating substantial discounts from National and International parcel and pallet networks because of the high regular volume of freight we were putting through their networks. Our aim has been always been to keep our overheads as low as possible, which has meant keeping staffing, levels to a minimum. This was stifling the potential growth of the company, so we decided to implement an ecommerce website in order to generate more business and manage it efficiently with out the need to increase staffing levels.
My first developers have more or less completed the first phase of developments. The site is able to take orders for National Parcels and International Parcels online and also take payment online. Members with accounts are able to have unique access to their own account with specific rates to them keep a track of how much they have spent and print off invoices.

I have also set up a dummy account for you so you can have a play around with the features we have.

The goal is to have all the services that we offer offline to offer them online. So Pallet deliveries, Local ,National and International. And then Sameday deliveries again Local National and International.
This project is going to have a few stages of development ideally I would like to use the same company for all of the developments and maintenance of the site.
The first stage would be to upload some developments to the main site that my previous developers had done but did not upload to the main site. These are the following: 2. Print VAT link set together with the other print document links.
3. Error when adding new zone surcharges in national parcels fixed.
The other feature they had done needs changing slightly:
We updated the sandbox. With the fixes that it required: 1. New order status working ok. When a new order is created, if it should be Processed manually it will appear in the new status screen list. Otherwise Won’t appear in this list and will appear straight in the orders list. Please play with it. I really think that now it is working, as it should.
Please note that for the above all Europe by road Service orders should go to the New Order Status List like the National Parcels and Bags. It is only the International Parcels and Documents that will go straight to the Order List!
Also the order details are not being emailed for the International Parcels and Documents to my subcontractor? Needs rectifying.
Some minor alterations to the formula for the Europe by Road Service will use the same formula as the National parcel formula: That is it will be a set price per parcel upto 30kg per parcel. Also we are now using the same subcontractor for the Europe by Road as the National parcel Deliveries. So the ability to track the parcel online for the Europe by Road Service needs to be incorporated just like the National parcels, as it is the same subcontractors being used ANC.

Stage 1A General Maintenance for the website and to offer customer support email service to my customers for any technical problems to with the site. And search engine Racking/ optimisation in order to get a constant desirable ranking for our services. I am looking for 1 monthly fee to cover the above.
I am hoping that the above will make sense to you after you have logged in to both of the sandbox sites and had a play with them.
Also a general overview of the functions and layout and to identify any improvements that could or should be made.
All the above would be the first stage done I would want this doing within 1 week once the wining bidder has been chosen.
Stage 2 would be to incorporate pallet deliveries online the formula would be very similar to the National Parcel formula as it will be a set price for a pallet but the difference will be that there are 3 different pallet sizes which are 1/4 , 1/2 and full pallets this is determined by the weight and the height of the pallet, Full details will be given.
I will need to be able to edit and alter individual criteria for the pallet service, just like the Parcel Services. The system will also need to be able to work out for the user the most cost-effective way of sending their products by the information they put in and give the user a choice on how they want to send their goods. All the printable documentation needs to be available all though the wording may need to be altered slightly. History of cost and deliveries can be kept just like the parcels. And address can be added and retrieved from the Contact Agenda area. All authorised orders sent to our chosen subcontractor and integration of websites so user can track pallet on line and get POD(PROOF OF DELIVERY)
Stage 2 needs to be done within 1 week.
Stage 3 Is money Management features some times the prices that the system works out are not rounded up to whole numbers this needs sorting out.
Payment Terms for Credit customers needs altering slightly. Needs to have Invoice Date so Admin can select a date and payment Terms were any number of days can be selected and a due date worked out and given against the specific customer in the admin area. Example:
Invoice Date 31/01/07 Terms Strictly 30 days Due Date 02/03/07
When all Vat invoices are printed it needs to show the Invoice Date,Terms and Due Date.
Need the ability to offer credit notes against invoices to specific customers in the admin area. Which can be printed individually with my full company details of IROC and User with the heading Credit Note.
Also a way so customers can easily see what they have paid. More so for customers who have credit and do not pay online the system at the moment dose not show me in the admin area what the customer says they have paid in the admin area so I can confirm the payment in the admin area so that the customer can easily see what they have paid? I am open to ideas with this one. Also history off payments for both the admin area and the specific members area so both parties can look back and see all confirmed payments.
Also to be able to create and open up a VAT Invoice which the system can do at the moment but I want to be able to save the document and email it, which I can not do at the moment.

Stage 4 will be a short-term solution and this will enable admin to create a specific service for a specific customer at a specific price. Example:

Once the order has been process an IROC number will be generated for the order. And like all the other services admin and users will be able to print VAT invoices and keep the history of all these type of orders. But also I will need to be able to upload images to these orders so when the user wants get proof of delivery on these orders when they put in the IROC number.
Schedule 2 Weeks At some point the above feature will evolve again were the system would work out a price by the user selecting a vehicle type and post codes/zip codes but that will need investment off licences. And it will also work out the most cost-effective way off sending the goods.
