Description
The software which I want you to develop accomplishes the following functions:
On the handset (Nokia 6210 s/navigator or similar phones):
1. Navigates the user over the maximum possible area that the device can address, depending on maps available and details available on the maps. Certain navigation is already available on the software. You will study that and address the same in your bid.
2. Provides a map of which road routes are congested at a particular time, what are alternative routes, how much time and fuel a user will save by altering his time of travel by a specified amount so that the routes become relatively free of congestion etc. This is achieved by taking feedback from all devices roaming in a city- loaded with this software, analyzing their speeds and movements.
3. Provide display of the path a user may take to reach a store/ shop or destination that would offer him discounted shopping.
4. Provide button for an emergency situation where we get to know where is a user is located in case he needs help.
5. Provide an interface to see which other users are in the vicinity that shares the same interests he has. This is found by analyzing the activity/ travel pattern of different users. Those who visit the same kind of stores/ shops/ gyms/ or other places similar in nature and at similar intervals are possible matches. The device shows the location of such people without disclosing who they are to a user. Once a user decides to make a contact with them, their details are disclosed on mutual consent. Whenever such users are in close vicinity of 100 feet, the software gives a buzz.
On the server side:
1. Provide alert on the central server when a user moving in a vehicle meets an accident. The software that monitors when the speed of the vehicle drops to zero almost abruptly ascertains this condition.
2. Provides movement pattern of a user over a period of three/six/twelve months as to what are the places the user frequents and how much time he spends there. The idea is to find out the interests of the user by monitoring his movements.
3. Provide information on the travel patterns of users- which users drive safely, at what average speeds, maximum speeds and minimum speeds, which users change speeds abruptly- over speed or drive rashly. This information must tell which users are good drivers and which are rash drivers.
4. Provide information on how users can car-pool; who are other users who travel via the similar route those can be given car-lift.
