Description
Complete an existing project.
We have a website that has been in development for the past 9 months and the project is stalled because the developer (who's done an excellent job up until recently) now has stalled. The project simply can't wait as long as it's taking.
Here are some details...
1. The site is based on PHP/MySQL and uses CAKEPHP MVC under the covers.
2. The customer facing part of the site is mostly there but we will need a few features adding
3. The admin part of the site is where the majority of the work stil remains.
3.1 User account management
3.2 Extending some workflow features in the customer facing side into the admin portal
3.3 Mapping some other features in the customer area into the management portal
3.4 Reporting
A few notes in general about what we are looking for from the team we award the project to:
To be clear, this is a job for an experienced design and development team - it's not for developers with beginner - moderate experience or teams with a single developer.
I will be looking for real credentials and solid peer feedback.
This project means writing a lot custom code/components from the ground up that integrate with our existing codebase so be prepared for that level of development.
When working on the project, we expect you to integrate with our development process. This includes regular, documented checkins to our online source control system and to work with us actively through the process and communicating with us through our project schedule in basecamp. Payment will be made in phases as features are delivered.
We have had a fair amount of experience working with outsourced developers at this point and we are still looking to find a reliable team who maintain solid communication with us. After a few weeks the phone starts going silent in past experience. It would be great to find a team that breaks that cycle.
