Description
We need someone to design an application that allows for collaboration of work between users on a LAN. We use a VERY large LAN and so not everybody should be allowed to collaborate on these files, but only the file creator. We'd like you to design this application to be able to right click a file and select "Collaborate" and then it gives you the chance to select which networked users you'd like to "collaborate" the file with. Once they've shared this file with the users the end users should have a notification pop up, we want it to be a virtual looking small Post it Note that goes to the end user's desktop notifying them that a file is being shared with them to Collaborate on. Once this done you can click to view the file. If any one of the Collaborators or people that were selected to Collaborate on the file change the file or update it, it should automatically send an updated post it note to all the people that shared the file with a notification that the file was updated and they can click the post it note to view the new note.
This needs to be possible with almost any file type. If the the user doesn't have the application such as a new version of Powerpoint, it simply streams the application over to that computer from the another user's computer on the network.
We want to also also allow users to "Share" files privately between each other. So a user needs the ability to also right click a file and click "Share" and they can select which user they want to share that file with. And the receiving user again will get a post it note showing the file that is being shared with them.
We also need a way of creating a "Private Network" between certain users on a LAN. This private network will be a way of creating a group of users that can share files, collaborate, send messages, and stream applications to each other without anybody else being given access to these files. For example in a large company there's several thousand users on a LAN. But we want to be able to create a "Private Network" so the user can send multiple files to specific co-workers within their team instead of giving everybody in the company access to these files. And the user needs to be able to create as many "Private Networks" as possible so they can collaborate between different teams of users on the LAN. A user needs to be able to stream literally almost everything on their desktop to anybody within a Private Network over the LAN.
The application needs to have a nice GUI interface as well, preferably black (similar to Windows Vista theme) it's up to you on how you want the application to function but it needs to be simple and understandable by even inexperienced users. If I don't like it you will be required to make the changes that I demand to make it more user friendly and functional.
