Description
I would like to have a "proof of concept" application for file share utility connected to the intranet of a company I support.
The base consist of a log-in screen, 3 webpages and 4 database tables. The user can choose files from the server file system and send an email to the receiver with a login to the server. The receiver can login to the server and download the files which was selected. See more details in the related pdf file.
As my client works in the architectural field, design and look-and-feel is critical. The final pages should look like on the pdf (except that you can use std-Buttons). I will provide you with the necessary png files for the rounded and shaded corners.
Project must be made with visual studio 2005 using asp.net 2.0 and a local *.mdf file. I also would like that you use a ajax based toolkit (preferable teleriks rad controls) so that things like sorting does not reload the whole page. I would also like to have drag-and-drop between 2 trees - for later maintenance I would prefer a common used base for things like that. I also recommend to use such a toolkit as the application must also be accessible from apple-computers - so all major functions must work with safari too (which is the case for rad controls).
Regarding all technical aspects I©m open to suggestions for improvement, take my input as a starting point for discussion.
The project should have 3 phases:
1) demo project. I expect working login and the 3 pages optical shown as in the final version. I would like to see sorting of MailList.aspx and drag and drop in PageNewMail.aspx with dummy data. Fine tuning all aspects of the application.
2) first running version. Something like a beta version. All functionality has to be implemented - but bugs are accepted.
3) final running version. 100% error free version.
Every phase will count with 33% of the total budget. Payment for phase 3 will only be done if Project is finished in time. Payment can be done after each completed phase. I©m fine with escrow, but I could also pay via normal transfer after each phase - as you like.
All rights to design, code and concepts must stay at my side. I will ask for signing a contract about this before start of work. All communication in English. The technical contact person must speak fluently English for quick exchange of ideas or concepts. I will check this with the most interesting candidates before start of work via skype. Candidates will be chosen primarily by reference projects - please provide me with links to work you have done already.
As I said, the proposed application is a ©proof on concept©. For that I expect a quick realisation time. Please add the information how much time you will need to the bid. If my client reacts positive, the project will be continued with more functionality.
