Description
Looking for a programmer who can program a celebrity age guessing website. I will take care of the design work. Users will register for a free account which will put them in a database that stores the results of their quizzes. We also need a database that stores the celebrities (that we can enter information into easily) information. This database should include the celebrity name, a picture, information on who they are, category (sports, entertainment, etc), age, and birthday. There should be a built in script that adds a year onto the persons age on the day of their birthday. As I stated we would want an easy to use backend where we can add, edit, and delete the records in this database.
As for the game, it is quite simple. The user starts a quiz by selecting the category they want to play. Then the quiz starts. The user should get 5 seconds to complete each answer after it pops up on the screen, with a timer showing the time remaining. We would like to be able to change this though after user feedback. The user starts with 100 points and for each answer, the difference between their answer and the correct answer is deducted from their score. They get 10 questions. We would like to display the high scores, etc. Also possibly have other games like "when did it happen?", and "how old would they be?" (for deceased celebs).
I program in asp some, so that would be best for me to tweak, but we're open to all programming languages. Also, a programmer with experience building iphone apps would be great as we would like to develop an iphone/blackberry/etc apps with the game.
