Here's the core data for my future project:
Used programming language:
C++
Operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, MACOS, Linux
Supported media types:
Internal HDD, external USB 1 and 2 drives, firewire drives, CD,DVD drives, flash memory like CF I and CF II, all Sony Memory Sticks, MMC, SD, xD cards, floppy drives.
Supported filesystems:
FAT 12/16/32, NTFS, HSF, HSF+, Ext2, Ext3
Architecture:
Modular. There must be possibility to add modules later on.
Friendly WYSWYG user interface.
Documentation:
The source code must be fully documented in the code itself.
Testing:
Provider must test and provide full testing report of each functionality on every platform after the job is done.
Every feature must be tested for all major scenarios.
Provider must deliver testing plan and documents in english.
Modules or features:
The software must consist independent modules of following areas.
Modules:
Recovery module with undelete features
Lost partition recovery module
Outlook mail recovery module
Help module
Language module:
This module should be such it allows user interface translations for multiple languages. It will be called fromn separate database.

User profiles
2 stages of users: demo with full functionality besides ”unlicenced software, licence it now” notifications for every 100mb of recovered /undeleted/ backed up data and size limit of 300kb for recovered/ undeleted/ backed/ up files.
Let user know if lost partition is recoverable or not but doesn't perform recovery.
Remote licence activation needed.
Level of intelligence:
The software must be able to recover highly fragmented data and partially lost files.
It must be able to show original file name and mime type. If the file name is lost it determines it again independently.
User must be able to select the files independently, by data integration date of creation, date of deletion, and mime type.
It must be able to recover lost partition itself when used from boot CD.
Software must recover files from broken drives [Bad sector skip possibility] if they are able to spin.
The software must be able to image a failing drive and work on the image.
The software must be able to clone a drive to another drive sector by sector.
Delivered modules, software and source code will be ours and we will have the rights to sell it to third party.
Along with price and timetable please provide me possible suggestions to the features and actual architechture to make this even better and faster.
It also helps if you are able to provide project plan with dates.
I need a fully workable software in English which I can easily translate by myself in French.
