Description
TITLE
Build of slick, simple website for online advertising, consulting, and web design firm. Design supplied.
BACKGROUND
The company is a new online advertising, Internet consulting and web design firm founded by an ex-Google employee with many contacts in the industry and ambitious expansion plans.
The site has been designed by the company, all layout, written content, navigation, photos, typefaces, color palettes etc will be provided along with concept pics of finished product.
Due to the nature of the industry it is essential that the standards-based site look extremely well and perform in a fast and flawless fashion. The winning bidder will be able to show relevant previous work as part of an extensive portfolio.
PROJECT SCOPE
The site will be built in a clean and simple style according to the supplied design concepts and artwork.
In terms of size the site will contain approximately 20 pages. All content for these pages will be supplied.
There will be an integrated blog in the website.
The work needs to be completed swiftly as there is a marketing campaign waiting to run.
The site will contain a “Contact Us” form. This must integrate well with the rest of the site.
The winning bidder must provide full documentation and carry out testing.
THE FOLLOWING WILL BE SUPPLIED
All written content.
All graphic design and picture elements.
Menu and navigation layout. Concept pics of page layouts.
Contact form visual design.
Colour palette.
Typefaces.
All of this supplied information is semi-confidential and will only be supplied after you bid or get in touch via PM. Please do not disclose it to any other parties without permission.
TECHNOLOGY
Preferred basis is CSS and HTML although other technologies will be considered. No Flash.
Site must be compatible with Internet Explorer 7 & 8, Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3, and Google Chrome.
Hosting platform is Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
Site must scale gracefully to common resolutions. Non fixed-width implementation proposals preferred.
A blog will need to be integrated. Winning bidder can decide platform.
Site must be extremely fast.
Site must be standards-based.
Robots.txt, metatags etc must be included.
Google Analytics tags will be supplied by us and must be included.
EXTENSIBILITY
Full documentation must be supplied.
Landing page template must be provided so landing pages for ad campaigns can be created rapidly.
WINNING BIDDER WILL....
The winner will be able to provide a portfolio of previously completed websites. The quality of this portfolio will probably be the single most important factor in selecting a winning bidder.
The winning proposal will be customised, not standard marketing material.
The winner will have a good grasp of English as communications will be essential for this and future projects.
The winner will have a good record of on-time completion of projects on this site.
The winner will be interested in forming a close working relationship with the company and cooperating on future projects.
The winner will have previously completed a number of similar contracts on this site.
The winner will have an excellent client satisfaction rating on this site
The winner will not necessarily be the lowest bidder, although price will be a factor
REASONS YOU SHOULD WANT TO WORK WITH US (apart from the fee!).
We will provide detailed feedback for winner on their communications and product on completion.
We will provide a ‘partner’ link for winner on our completed site if appropriate.
There will certainly be future maintenance/expansion business for this site including additional content, domains, and languages.
