Description

Every 15 days i convert data from excel to a database and it's quite repetitive.
I need someone to do it for me on a regular basis: the data will be sent friday night (london time), and it should be sent back to me saturday morning(london time). Punctuality is important.
I need to extact data from couple of spreadsheet and convert it into a sql file compatible with mysql.
The process is simple but it needs to be well understood.

1.you open the data spreadsheet and the template spreadsheets
(intraday_template.xls,intraday_WTILCO_template.xls)

2.in one of the template spreadsheet, you ll notice at the bottom one yellow sheet and a blue one. The yellow is the input sheet, to which you copy/paste the data to (from the data spreadsheet , the all have the same format). In K3 you have the name of the asset, which must be copied in all sheet names(bottom), and in cell J2 of the blue spreadsheet. Once you have copied the data in the yellow sheet (from the data sheet), go to the blue tab and press f9 to refresh the calculation. There are 2 template files, one for asset LCO/WTI, and one for all others.

3.in the template file, blue sheet , from column A to F , this is the data that will be put in the .sql fie

4. to create it in the .sql, you can convert data in (3.) in a cvs file, then add it to mysql, which will generate the .sql (whatever method is fine for me)
the data should be put in the following table:

`date` bigint(20) NOT NULL,
`asset` varchar(3) NOT NULL,
`maturity` int(2) NOT NULL,
`close` double DEFAULT NULL,
`volume` int(8) DEFAULT NULL,

`time` bigint(20) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`date`,`asset`,`maturity`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;

5. send me one unique big .sql file
